An unusual Khun Phaen amulet with exquisite yanting and a consecrated Phra Ngang amulet embedded in the back, from the reclusive of Ajarn Tapoon of Petchaboon province, who does not allow himself to be photographed.
Khun Phaen is a sort of charming anti-hero of Thai myth who went on an epic quest to recover one of his two wives, who was spirited away from him by a wealthy merchant named Khun Chang
Khun Phaen was both a warrior with a magical sword called “sky storm” which brought lightning (kind of like Thor’s hammer) as well as an energetic ladies man and highly skilled magician who recruited an army of ghosts to defeat his enemies.
Khun Phaen amulets are believed to bring magical protection from accidents, enemies and black magic, as well as supernaturally amplified charm and powers of persuasion, because of his reputation as a “player” many Thai women will not allow their husbands to wear Khun Phaen amulets!
Extremely rare, one only. Photograph shows front and back of the same item.
